Precise vascular targeting for visible capillaries and larger vessels

Long Pulse Nd:YAG laser specifically targets larger, deeper blood vessels that IPL may not fully reach — making it ideal for prominent telangiectasias (spider veins on the face), reticular veins, and rosacea with significant vessel involvement.

How it works

The 1064nm Nd:YAG wavelength penetrates more deeply than IPL wavelengths, allowing it to target vessels in the mid-dermis. Long pulse duration means energy is delivered slowly enough for heat to build within the vessel wall, causing thermal coagulation without rupturing the vessel. The body then gradually resorbs the coagulated vessel over 4–8 weeks. The treatment is extremely selective — the large 'spot' of surrounding skin absorbs minimal energy while the hemoglobin-rich vessel absorbs the majority of the light energy.

What to expect

A cooling system protects the skin surface during treatment. The laser is applied directly to individual vessels. A snapping and warm sensation — each pulse is brief. Immediately post-treatment, vessels may appear darker or redder for a few hours before beginning to clear.

Downtime and aftercare

Minimal. Some vessels become slightly bruised-appearing for 3–7 days before clearing. Normal activities can be resumed immediately. SPF 50+ essential.

Results

Individual vessels often clear in 1–3 sessions. Diffuse rosacea requires more treatments. Excellent clearing of discrete telangiectasias.

Prominent telangiectasias, facial spider veins, deeper vascular redness, rosacea with discrete vessels

Recommended treatment course

1–3 sessions per vessel/area, 4–6 weeks apart
