How it works
PicoLaser at 532nm targets hemoglobin with its photoacoustic (pressure wave) effect rather than pure thermal energy. This means the vessel walls are disrupted through mechanical pressure rather than heat alone — reducing the risk of paradoxical thermal injury in the surrounding skin, which is already compromised in rosacea. The reduced thermal load makes PicoLaser particularly appropriate for reactive skin types where traditional lasers may trigger flares.
