About this concern
Unwanted moles and skin tags are among the most common concerns we treat. Using an Erbium laser, Dr. Kim ablates lesions with surgical precision — minimizing the risk of scarring and significantly reducing healing time compared to traditional excision.
Our approach
Whether it's a cosmetically bothersome mole, a raised skin tag on a friction-prone area, or a small benign lesion you've wanted gone for years, laser removal is a clean, effective solution. Dr. Kim evaluates every lesion before treatment to ensure it's suitable for laser removal.
Every detail of your appearance matters. We remove what doesn't belong so you can focus on what does.
Treatment options
- Erbium Laser Resurfacing
The Erbium laser (Er:YAG, 2940 nm) ablates tissue at the water absorption peak, vaporizing skin lesions layer by layer with extreme precision. Because the Erbium laser has minimal thermal damage to surrounding tissue compared to CO2 lasers, healing is faster and the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation or scarring is significantly lower — making it the preferred tool for lesion removal on all skin types.
- Hyfrecator
The Hyfrecator uses a low-power high-frequency electrical current to desiccate (dry out) and destroy superficial skin lesions. It is particularly effective for skin tags, small sebaceous hyperplasia, cherry angiomas, and other benign superficial growths. Treatment is fast — most lesions are treated in seconds — with minimal downtime and excellent cosmetic outcomes.
