How it works
Q-switched Nd:YAG at 1064nm penetrates to the mid-dermis where sebaceous glands reside. At low fluence (energy density), the laser selectively heats the sebaceous glands — reducing their size and secretory activity — without damaging the surrounding tissue. Simultaneously, the thermal effect on dermal collagen triggers a remodeling response that tightens the collagen fibers surrounding each pore opening, physically reducing visible pore size. Multiple treatments produce cumulative reduction in both oil production and pore diameter. The treatment also addresses any concurrent pigmentation with its melanin-targeting effect.
