About this concern
Persistent redness, flushing, and rosacea can feel impossible to control. Our physician-directed approach uses the latest in vascular laser technology and anti-inflammatory protocols to calm reactive skin and restore a clear, even complexion.
Our approach
Rosacea and chronic redness have multiple triggers — vascular, inflammatory, and microbiome-related. We diagnose the pattern and target each component with precision.
Sensitive skin deserves the gentlest, most precise approach. We treat redness as a medical condition, not a cosmetic inconvenience.
Treatment options
- IPL
IPL is the most effective and most studied treatment for erythematotelangiectatic rosacea (redness subtype) and visible capillaries. Its hemoglobin-targeting wavelengths selectively destroy the dilated vessels responsible for chronic redness without affecting surrounding tissue.
- Long Pulse YAG
Long Pulse Nd:YAG laser specifically targets larger, deeper blood vessels that IPL may not fully reach — making it ideal for prominent telangiectasias (spider veins on the face), reticular veins, and rosacea with significant vessel involvement.
- PicoLaser
PicoLaser's photomechanical approach can address the erythema (redness) component of rosacea through its hemoglobin-targeting wavelengths, with significantly less thermal delivery than traditional lasers — making it a valuable option for highly reactive or sensitive rosacea-prone skin.
- Chemical Peel
Specialized anti-inflammatory peels — particularly the Chemical Peel's alkaline formulation — can calm the chronic low-grade inflammation of rosacea, improve skin barrier function, and reduce sensitivity and reactivity over time.
- Facials
Specialized facials for rosacea-prone skin focus on calming inflammation, repairing barrier function, and maintaining the skin's equilibrium — using only formulations vetted by Dr. Kim for rosacea compatibility.
- Medical-Grade Skincare
The right home skincare regimen is critical for rosacea management — the wrong products can trigger flares. Dr. Kim prescribes rosacea-safe formulations that repair the compromised barrier, reduce inflammation, and minimize daily triggers.
