Medical-grade exfoliation that resets skin from the surface down

Chemical peels use carefully selected acids to dissolve the bonds holding damaged, pigmented surface cells together, accelerating cell turnover and revealing fresher skin beneath. Our Chemical Peel — a 4th-generation K-Beauty formulation — is particularly effective for pigmentation, combining LHA (lipophilic hydroxy acid) with alkaline pH technology for deeper penetration with lower irritation.

How it works

Different acids work at different depths. Superficial peels (glycolic, salicylic, LHA) act on the stratum corneum and upper epidermis, loosening corneocyte bonds to trigger rapid turnover. Medium-depth peels (TCA, Jessner's) penetrate to the papillary dermis, causing controlled injury that triggers collagen remodeling in addition to surface renewal. The Chemical Peel's LHA molecules are lipophilic, meaning they pass through the skin's oil barrier more efficiently than traditional water-soluble acids, reaching pigmented cells deeper in the epidermis. The alkaline component neutralizes excess acidity in chronically inflamed skin, making it particularly well-tolerated on sensitive or acne-prone skin types.

What to expect

The skin is cleansed and degreased. The peel solution is applied in layers, with Dr. Kim monitoring the skin's response throughout. You'll feel a tingling or mild burning sensation that peaks in the first few minutes and subsides. A neutralizing agent or natural endpoint determines depth. A soothing mask is applied post-treatment. The full appointment is relaxing and spa-like despite the medical-grade chemistry at work.

Downtime and aftercare

Superficial peels: 3–5 days of mild flaking. Medium-depth peels: 5–7 days of more significant peeling and possible pinkness. Avoid picking or pulling at peeling skin. No makeup for 24–48 hours. SPF 50+ is non-negotiable.
