Physician-curated actives that maintain and amplify your results

The topicals you use at home between treatments can accelerate, maintain, or undo your results. Dr. Kim prescribes and recommends medical-grade formulations — not available over the counter — containing clinically proven brightening actives at concentrations that actually work.

How it works

Medical-grade skincare differs from retail products in concentration, formulation stability, and ingredient quality. Key brightening actives include: hydroquinone (the most studied melanin inhibitor, available by prescription), tranexamic acid (blocks melanin transfer from melanocytes to keratinocytes), kojic acid, azelaic acid, niacinamide, and stabilized vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid at 15–20%). Retinoids (tretinoin) accelerate cell turnover to push pigmented cells toward the surface more quickly. Dr. Kim's Korean skincare philosophy emphasizes layering lightweight, highly bioavailable formulations for maximum penetration without disrupting the skin barrier.

What to expect

After a comprehensive skin analysis, Dr. Kim prescribes a personalized home regimen. Products are explained in sequence (morning vs. night routines, layering order, SPF non-negotiables). Follow-up adjustments are made based on how your skin responds.

Downtime and aftercare

None for most formulations. Retinoids may cause initial purging and flaking during the first 2–4 weeks of use — a normal part of the skin-renewal process.

Results

Gradual improvement over 6–12 weeks of consistent use. Most effective as maintenance between in-office treatments.
