Treatment Process
Your provider will assess the lesion and inject Kenalog directly into the raised or inflamed area using a very fine needle. The injection is quick and may feel like a slight pinch. Some improvement may be seen after one session, though a series of treatments spaced weeks apart may be recommended.
Aftercare
Avoid massaging or applying pressure to the injection site for at least 24 hours. Redness or tenderness may occur briefly but typically subsides within a day or two. Avoid harsh skincare products over the treated area and follow your provider’s recommendations for best results and scar healing.
